| Caption: | In a span of 3 1/2 hours the Tri-State tornado of March 18, 1925, traveled 350 km (217 mi.) from Reynolds Co., Missouri, across Illinois to near Princeton, Indiana. Traveling at an average speed of 100 km (62 mi.) per hour, this tornado varied from 1 to 1.5 km (0.5 to 1 mi.) in width.
